He may have been responsible for creating one of the world's biggest labels but it seems that Calvin Klein has somewhat lost his love of fashion. The designer, who apparently no longer has any involvement in his eponymous brand, chatted to The Cut in New York this weekend. And it seems that the man who championed minimalism, decked out the underwear drawers of men across the globe and paired up Marky Mark and Kate Moss in a now legendary ad campaign is now less than enthusiastic about the industry he was once a part of.
They asked him about the current trends and which ones he's sick of. His response? 'You know, since Im no longer involved in the fashion business, Im so happy to not pay attention to trends because they are meaningless anyway. They are over fast. As soon as you see them, as soon as you see people wearing them, they are over. Thats it. As soon as you see it on someone, forget it.'
