Fashion fans are in a flurry of excitement today as there are but 24 hours until the new Acne store opens its doors. A team is busy putting the finishing touches to the Mayfair townhouse today ahead of tonight's launch party, and first thing tomorrow morning it will open to the public. But the very lucky team ELLE had a sneak peek yesterday - so what can you expect?
The store (or studio as it is referred to) is spread over four light and airy floors, all whitewashed walls and bleached floorboards. There's a floor dedicated to denim, one for accessories, one for womenswear and one for men's. And alongside the much-coveted collections (oh how we want the new season ankle boots) you'll be able to snap up the debut collection of streamlined furniture designed by Jonny Johansson.
The Acne team has also asked a clutch of artists to produce work that is displayed in the store. Husam el Odeh, the jeweller responsible for summer's armoured trousers, has created some pieces and Jeremiah Goodman has painted some huge canvasses with pictures of the Acne Studio in Stockholm.
There's even a roof terrace to relax on when the shopping gets a bit too much. And the yellow piano on the ground floor will be played every saturday morning to give a soundtrack to your spending.
The Acne store opens 16 July at 13 Dover Street, London W1.More
