When Kate Bosworth stepped out at the Coachella festival we fell for her tie-dye dress in a big way. A bit of digging revealed that it was by an American label called Suno - and only available Stateside. Big disappointment. Since then we've spotted the label on some other celebs too - Michelle Williams wore a Suno dress at Cannes, Rihanna has one too and these pink trousers that Blake Lively wore in Paris this week are from the same brand.
Now for the really good news - Liberty has just started stocking the label so we can get our hands on it too. But before you dash out on a shopping spree, let us give you the need-to-know on Suno.
First up, it's a label with heart. Its founder, former film director Max Osterweis, set it up in 2009 with the aim of helping people in Kenya. So, a lot of the fabrics used are sourced there and, although the pieces are designed in New York, they're made out in Nairobi. It's earned a reputation for its cool, wearable pieces with a tribal slant - everything from mini-skirts to jackets are made from traditionally printed fabrics, with designs made from luxe fabrics thrown into the mix. And finally, it's named after Max's mother.
So, go get your hands on it fast before everyone else cottons on.More
