Last night the 2010 Scottish Fashion Awards were held at the Glasgow Science Centre. Guests including Peter Jensen, Graeme Armor, Antonio Berardi and Jade Parfitt walked the tartan carpet to celebrate the best of fashion north of the border.
The big winners of the night? Jonathan Saunders, who was crowned Scottish Designer of the Year, and Holly Fulton, who was crowned the Scottish Young Designer of the Year. And Markus Lupfer, who's not strictly speaking Scottish, managed to bag the award for International Designer of the Year for use of a Scottish fabric.
Last night was the fifth Scottish Fashion Awards, and the previous roll call of winners is pretty impressive - Christopher Kane, Graeme Black, and Louise Gray have all made the cut in previous years. Tessa Hartman, founder and producer of the event said last night, 'The event has proved yet again that Scotlands so-called fashion moment is in fact no such thing Scots are ruling the runways and theyre not going anywhere.'More
