88% of ELLEuk.com readers will vote today

It's no MORI poll, but against the 2005 average national turnout of 61.2%, we think our findings suggest that this year's election has captured voters attention and provoked response more than any other recent election.

ELLEuk's twitter followers have been tweeting their intent to vote today. Natassjarosina wrote "I'm definitely voting, it's my first time and I'm so excited", sallymumbycroft added, "we have to vote, people fight for the right to vote. We need to use it". While DiscoButterfly felt compelled to cross the box 11 years after being given the vote, "it's my first time and I'm 29!".

After the entire ELLEuk.com office had voted by 8am this morning, all that is left to do is wait. Bring on the coffee.
