You may have heard the name before the label has existed for over 60 years, founded in Paris in 1945 by Madame Carmen de Tommasobut. Until now it has solely focused on couture, but change is afoot, and this season the fashion house has introduced its first ever ready-to-wear collection. At the helm is Guillame Henry, a French designer who has worked in the past for both Paule Ka and Givenchy
According to Henry his imagined muse for spring was a chic French teenager who is unaware of how beautiful she is, whos always dressed in clothes that are too big or too small. The resulting pieces nail the restrained, sexy, easy-to-wear vibe thats currently being championed by the likes of Phoebe Philo
and Stella McCartney
. Cool, chic and incredibly covetable pieces from peplum skirts and shrunken T-shirts to rosette-covered shifts and perfectly tailored jackets are all itching to be absorbed into our wardrobes. And were not alone. Net-A-Porter is selling out of the stuff as soon as it heads online.
With prices erring on the side of affordable you can pick up a dress for £250 or a cashmere sweater for under £150 were not surprised that its selling out fast. And youll be pleased to hear that weve seen next seasons collection and its even better.
