If you're not familiar with the French shop then here's the need-to-know. Established by Marie France (who also founded Bonpoint) and Bernard Cohen last year, the store stocks the coolest of fashion and homeware, but the best thing about it is its heart - all profits made in Merci are donated to a charitable foundation set up by the Cohens that help women and children in Madagascar.
As well as the movers and shakers in Paris, Merci caught the eye of the Liberty team and the two stores collaborated on a selection on limited edition products. Last week Liberty set up shop in Paris and this morning the Merci pop-up shop opened on the ground floor of London's iconic department store. On offer are cushion, notepads, shorts and mugs, all designed by Marie France and covered in Liberty's signature floral prints. The mini-suitcase, pictured, is our favourite buy - and everyone else's too judging by the way they were flying off the shelves.
Merci at Liberty opens today and will continue until 1 April.More
