It's a tad irksome that New York beats London to a standalone store. Despite not being able to lay claim to discovering the label, the Brits have a die-hard affinity with the Marant
brand. Its mix and match, easy cool aesthetic is the holy grail of London style.
Having previously channelled the 80s, Marant's girls with their swinging ponytails, cats eyeliner and kitten heels were 50s through and through. Full of attitude and rebellion, here was the first generation of the teenager.
