Designers have been busy creating fabric hybrids for Autumn Winter 2010. And by that we mean patchworking leather, wool, cashmere and anything else they can get their hands on, together on the one item of clothing.
Sportmax deserves recognition for giving one of the best examples of such Frankensteinery. As many as four different textiles were combined to create an elegant and youthful collection. Tweed, cashmere, nylon and wool were used on coats and dresses, jackets had double hoods, while leather panels sat on suede dresses.
Sheer tartan print shirtdresses were layered with clashing checks, sequin and chiffon mixes added sparkle to daywear while its suede shoe-boots with tread heels were highly covetable.
