There will be a McQueen show in Paris

After McQueen's tragic death it was uncertain whether there was a collection completed enough to be shown, but although details are still unclear, it seems that what is surely set to be the most oversubscribed show of the season will still take place during Paris fashion week.

PPR, which is the parent company of the Gucci Group, also suggested that the Alexander McQueen brand will continue without its founder. According to Draper's Record, Francois Henri-Pinault said, 'You understand, the Alexander McQueen trademark will live on.' He also paid tribute to the designer saying, 'His art went beyond the fashion world. He had a great command of technique…he hid behind an armour of provocation. He was one of the falling stars that comes across our generation. He is a person we will miss enormously.'

Expect much speculation about who will be asked to step into Alexander McQueen's impossible-to-fill shoes.
