Neatly timed to coincide with London Fashion Week, Warehouse is introducing us a future rising star of the fashion scene courtesy of a capsule collection by Philli Wood.
A recent graduate from University of Westminster, Wood is the latest student to be handpicked by a panel of experts and signed up to design pieces for the high street brand as part of a partnership with the British Fashion Council.
Her 12 piece collection is a brilliant mash-up of colour, print and sporty details. Our pick of the bunch? The hot pink parka (stylish and weatherproof? Just what we need right now) and oversized backpack.
The collection was initially inspired by American Indian intuits, says Philli. I experimented with large oversized silhouettes and chunky knitwear. I printed images of cable knits onto exaggerated shapes to give the illusion of knitwear. The bright, clashing colour palette was inspired by installation artist Dan Flavin who uses florescent strip lights.
The collection drops into selected stores and online today, prices £26 - £140
