The unlikely star of Stella's ads

You thought it was Natalia Vodianova, as shot by Mert & Marcus? Well she, as ever, looks fantastic of course, but the real star of the show is the dalmatian who can be seen in the background, otherwise known as Lucky. According to WWD, Lucky was the McCartney family's pet when Stella was growing up, and the grainy black and white shot of her faithful friend was shot by her mother, Linda, back in the 1970s.

'I love the way it’s very graphic and soft at the same time, due to its double exposure,' says Stella. And of the ads, 'A family animal with an outside atmosphere meets studio lights, camera, action! Opposites meeting in one image, illustrating the masculine and feminine sides of the Stella McCartney brand.'
