The British Fashion Council has introduced the London 25 award to mark the British Fashion Awards' 25th year. The idea is to bestow the honour upon someone who epitomises British fashion and style, and instead of industry insiders making the pick, all you fashion fans can vote for your choice.
With just a week to go until the winner is announced, we can reveal who the top five contenders are. Some, of course are no surprise. Kate Moss is naturally a front runner, along with US darling Alexa Chung. One of the UK's most fashionable exports, Alexander McQueen is on the list, as well as the grande dame of British fashion, Vivienne Westwood. And, our personal favourite, Joan Burstein, who we can all thank for the existence of London boutique Browns.
There's still time to cast your vote of course - just visit www.britishfashionawards.com - and make sure you come back next Thursday when we'll tell you who is London's new style ambassador.More
