Spring's new mood is already lighter, romantic and hopeful. But would London's Dark Prince Gareth Pugh, famed for his hard edged, theatrical and futuristic creations fall under fashion's new spell? All eyes were on his spring/summer 2010 show on the first day of Paris Fashion Week yesterday to find out.
The answer was yes as Pugh showed his softest, most romantic collection yet. Silhouettes were more fluid from the opening look, a billowing trench coat, and his signature lean leather pieces - like skinny trousers - came in soft dove grey.
Body-con dresses were suprisingly wearable and there was even ruffles, sheer fabrics and romantic layering.
With Rihanna in the front row searching for an outfit to wear on the cover of her next album, (she also brought photographer Ellen Von Unwerth with her who will shoot it), it certainly looks like Gareth Pugh's moment is now.More
