London label Ghost has been giving a new, fashion-forward lease of life courtesy of Abdul Koroma and Andrew Jones, the duo behind Modernist.
Striking the perfect balance between feminine and cool, the new collection takes its inspiration from the once iconic label's archive.
Perfectly draped dresses, light-weight parkas and detailed blouses made from luxe washed linen, crepe and satin have all been designed to be layered over each other effortlessly - whilst all are classic pieces, designed to last. And, with one eye ever on the practical, they can all be put in the washing machine.
So which piece is the designers' favourite? A silk, sporty, wear-with-everything parka.(pictured).
The collection is transitional, (not quite spring/ summer or autumn winter) heading in stores at the end of the month, with prices ranging from under £50 to around £220. But will there be more? 'We hope so,' Abdul and Andrew told us. 'This collection was really just brushing the dust off. We need a couple more to really get our teeth into it.'
The new range is sure to open up the brand to a whole new generation of fans, while still ticking the boxes for its current customers - we sense a trend for mother-daughter shopping trips on the horizon.More
