The capsule collection of seven silk dresses paraded past fashion editors as they enjoyed pink grapefruit Bellini's and scrambled eggs.
Roksanda's good friends designer Richard Nicoll and model Jade Parfitt were also in attendance to see the high street collection the fashion industry has been talking about all week.
So what do the dresses look like? Think Roksanda's trademark draped, fluid, couture-like silhouettes in hot hues of orange, pink and peacock silk as well as midnight blue and black. Each injected with a shot of Roksanda's unique dark yet feminine drama in the shape of oversized flower corsages in shiny black plastic, contrasting black belts at nipped in waists and black ribbon bows.
The dresses will debut on the high street on 9th September in selected Whistles stores, at Selfridges and Brown Thomas. However there will be just 400 pieces in all, so mark the date in your diary now.
'Roksanda and I have been friends for a long time, and have wanted to do something together for ages.' Jane Shepherdson of Whistles told us this morning. 'When we took over Whistles it seemed like the perfect marriage',
She also revealed that this is the start of three collections with Roksanda. 'We might expand it into accessories and even jewellery' she hinted. Plus she added that there could well be more collaborations with other designers in the future. Though, 'only if we really love something, we're not going to do millions' she added.
