Fashion's biggest names as well as a host of Hollywood style mavens flocked to New York last night for the US fashion industry's equivalent of the Oscars. The big award of the evening went to Rodarte sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy (pictured) while Marc Jacobs (a previous Designer of the Year winner) scooped the International Award.
Fashion's wonderkind Alexander Wang won the Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent, Anna Sui was honoured with the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, Ralph Lauren was honoured with the first People's Choice Award, while First Lady Michelle Obama received the CFDAs Board of Directors Special Tribute.
Celebrities walked a beige, rather than red carpet to the ceremony held at the Lincoln Centre in Manhattan, before heading out to a host of after-parties.
