It has been a week of announcements for the British heritage brand Burberry. Yesterday it was announced that Burberry will return to London Fashion Week next season and today we hear that Thursday 28 May has been named Burberry Day in New York, to honour the British label's commitment to New York and the U.S.
The day will include the 'lighting' of the new Burberry sign above the brand's Americas HQ on Madison Avenue (pictured) as well as a huge party hosted by creative director Christopher Bailey and CEO Angela Ahrendts.
Also on Thursday, 20% of all money spent in Burberry's New York stores will be donated to the Burberry Foundation, a charity that, 'helps young people realise their dreams and achieve their potential through the power of their creativity.'More
