Viktor and Rolf design costumes for the Opera
They have teamed up for the second time with Robert Wilson (the duo created costumes for a dance production that he staged in 2004), who is producing 'Der Freischütz' by Carla Maria von Webber at the Baden-Baden Opera House in Germany. The costumes are set to be spectacular - we hear that they have used over a million Swarovski Crystals to create them. The star pieces? A coat featuring a giant 3D lightning bolt, an amazing dress made up of brightly coloured silk flowers and the choir's costumes, which will be traditional Dirndl and Lederhosen made of black neoprene.
