Michelle Obama makes her fashionable debut in London

Three chic outfits charted her course to London. She left Washington yesterday in a monochrome Thakoon and Michael Kors ensemble, business like and formal but with a feminine edge (pictured first left).

Next up, to disembark from Air Force One (centre) an eye popping bright yellow shift by Jason Wu perfectly offset with a black belt and long line jacket that signalled to the world, we have arrived. And finally this morning, despite the chilly April wind Michelle rocked spring's pastels, with a pretty embellished cardigan (far right) to meet the Browns at Downing Street.

All three outfits radiated hope, optimism and a bright future.
