With his signature paper-cut pieces, Rob Ryan is fast becoming a household name and has already worked with the likes of Paul Smith, Liberty and Fortnum and Mason. Scott Morrison, the man behind Earnest Sewn, is such a huge fan of Ryan's work that he has asked him to create two installations, one in New York and one in London. In the Big Apple he is set to replicate his East London shop, Ryantown, in Earnest Sewn's store in the Meat Packing District. As well as stocking his own creations, the store-in-store will also stock exclusive collaborations between the brand and the artist - a limited edition printed t-shirt and bandana, customised teddy bears and a hand embroidered cushion.
But thankfully we don't have to jet over to the States to get our hands on the pieces. They will all be available to buy in the original Ryantown on Columbia Road.
Both installations and the Rob Ryan x Earnest Sewn collection are set to launch on April 1st. Ryantown can be found at 126 Columbia Road, E2 7RG and is open on the weekends only.
