Pink clashed with red, taupe was teamed with lilac, orange with charcoal and tan leather with everything. Unlikely colour clashes proved fresh, unique and so inspiring we want to start wearing this trend today. (All you need to do is rethink which shades you pair together).
Van Noten's colour combinations highlighted a collection of thoroughly wearable clothes, knee length skirts, slouchy, silk, go-anywhere trousers, cropped leather and wool jackets, belted coats and boyfriend blazers, plus an array of luxe print dresses, just what every woman (and customer) will be looking for come autumn.
Yes there is a recession on, so practical shapes and modern classics will be what we want to invest in - but colour will add flair, enable us to stamp individuality into safer fashion choices, and ultimately cheer us up.
Thank you Dries!
