Amongst the models clad in trademark Westwood wrapped and ruched skirts and dresses, Edwardian jackets and baggy cropped camouflage combat trousers, Pammie stepped out, with her arms bound behind her back wearing a draped t-shirt and tulle angel wings. For her second runway look she appeared in hot pants, a skinny jacket and a slogan tee that featured the name of the a/w09 show: +5 degrees. According to Westwood this is in reference to the average global temperature rise due to CO2 emissions a matter close to both Westwood and Andersons hearts
For the rest of the show it was mostly a revisit of trademark designs draped dresses and skirts, oversized mannish blazers, Edwardian jackets, cropped combat trousers and of course the political slogan tees for which Westwood is now becoming famed. Nothing new for Westwood, but a mash-up look that will tie in with the nineties, grunge revival seen on plenty of catwalks in New York and London this season.
