Milan latest: Versace autumn/winter 09

Last night in Milan Donatella Versace gave us her response to the doom and gloom, 'you can't hide from it' she told WWD backstage before the show. Hence a controlled collection showcasing just exactly what Versace does best, sexy, sophisticated glamour. The Versace woman still has parties to attend and men to seduce, despite the credit crunch.

Sexy, liquid, jersey dresses, skirts slashed to the thigh and neat belted coats with embellished hems, leather bombers, and skinny trousers will appeal to Versace fans, but were not overly flashy or excessive.

A hint at next season biggest trend, the eighties, could be smelt, but just a whiff. Thee were modern clothes with a contemporary edge. Molto sexy!
