Next up were Central Saint Martins graduates Krystof Strozyna and Emilio De La Morena. Strozynas supremely sophisticated show struck a perfect balance between wearability and experimentation - his carefully worn and studded pale wash denim jackets and exquisite silk mini-dresses woven together with geometric threads sent a front row Alexa Chung into a frenzy of note-pad scribbling.
Morena, currently stocked exclusively at Browns, wowed with bold shapes and primary colours in silk gazar, stretch silk and wool inspired by the Spanish Sculptor Eduardo Chillida and models did well not to stumble in the identical red suede ankle boot wedges by Charlotte Olympia. Morena is fast becoming the designer to watch in London and his distinctive use of colour and signature body-con aesthetic is already winning over celebrity fans.
Over at Vauxhall Fashion Scout Danish born designer Louise Amstrup showcased her third season in London with a Fiercely futuristic collection inspired by none other than Mad Max with high, peaked shoulders and tough, monochrome tailoring in wool and leather with chiffon inserts perfectly capturing winters strong silhouette- this girl is definitely one to watch for 2009.
