ELLE talks to Chloe Sevigny about her latest designer collaboration

Today Chloe Sevigny chose London fashion week to unveil her latest collection for Manhattan's cult store Opening Ceremony to the international press.

There were two good reasons why. Firstly, to Chloe it just felt right. 'It's a very young, very street collection', she told ELLE this afternoon.

Also, Chloe had to whisk straight from the press day (at 4pm to be precise) to Alicante in Spain to finish filming the film adaptation of Mr Nice, the Howard Marks biopic she's been filming in Wales with Rhys Ifans. 'This was a good time slot for me, it was really the only time I had.' Chloe has been trying to squeeze in a packed agenda since arriving in London on Friday night, including hosting the opening party of London fashion week at The Double club.

She has also made the time to do some shopping. 'These shorts are vintage Claude Montana from Relik' she says of the super short, high waisted black leather shorts she's wearing with her own label silk blouse and sky high strappy wedge boots.

I love Relik, it's amazing for vintage.' she declares. She also thinks London's Dover Street Market is 'one of the greatest stores ever.'

No wonder then that her collection for Opening Ceremony will be stocked there come August.

So what can we expect for the range this season? Teddy boy loafers, oversize knits, silky shirts, skinny trousers and boyfriend blazers all make up the unisex collection that runs the gauntlet of sizes from petite to extra large.

Chloe was inspired by the clothes people wear on the streets of London for the collection, ' I love walking around Brick Lane looking at what people are wearing' she revealed. She was also inspired by London punks of the early eighties and channelled 'skin heads and punk rockers' in this unique collection.
