To the soundtrack of favourites like Halloween, Friday 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street models paraded down the catwalk with deathly pale faces and zombie-like contact lenses. Pale denim jeans and mannish shirts, black velvet vests and slouchy grey sweatshirts were all cut to ribbons,? some of the most wearable and covetable pieces we?'ve seen that tap into the re-wroked grunge look that is this week being cemented as a key trend for next season.
Jersey dresses were inspired by Indian burial grounds with dreamcatchers woven into the fabric and heavy metal tees were emblazoned with slogans like 'Boo!' and 'God bless'. Body bag style zips featured on slouchy high waisted trousers and a knee length, oversized, wool biker jacket that?s sure to be a bestseller. The result? The perfect Halloween party outfits.? If only we didn?t have to wait until next autumn to start wearing them.
