Whilst clearly turning out to show his support for great British talents like Preen and Jonathan Saunders, who both show their collections in New York these days, and also just so happen to design capsule ranges for Topshop - the high street millionaire has also been popping up unexpectedly at shows like Alexander Wang and now Thakoon.
Could Green be talent spotting for some high-low US designer tie ins for his Topshop megastore across the pond, which despite some construction delays is set to be opened on 2nd April by Kate Moss?(we'd surely all swoon for Thakoon). Or is he looking to scout New York's hottest new exports before anyone else gets a look in ( Boy by Band of Outsiders or a bit of Alexander Wang would do nicely thank you very much.) WWD reports today that Green told them that he is looking for one or two new US designer collaborations and will be working with CFDA president Diane Von Furstenberg to achieve these.
Whatever the reason for Green's omni presence at the NY shows we're thrilled he's keeping abreast of the catwalks - it can only mean one thing, more fashion forward, great high street buys and designer hook-ups at Topshop for us next season...
