As we reported in September, London Fashion Week in February has shrunk to just four days. This was agreed by the British Fashion Council and The Council of Fashion Designers of America (headed by Diane von Furstenberg) in order to help the smoother running of New York Fashion Week, directly before London.
LFW will now occur over one big weekend, starting on 20th February 2009. And what a weekend it's shaping up to be.
Kicking off the proceedings on Friday 20th are London veterans Paul Costelloe and Jenny Packham, before Kinder Aggugini opens Saturday with his first London show. He'll be followed that day by London headliners PPQ, Charles Anastase, Nathan Jenden and Peter Jensen. And Saturday night will culminate with Vivienne Westwood at 8.30pm.
And that's all before Monday morning, when Luella has her usual 10am slot.
