Karl Lagerfeld designs Chanel Money

Two gold and two silver coins have been designed by Karl Lagerfeld to mark to 125th anniversary of Gabrielle Chanel's birthday. The new coins feature the head of Mademoiselle Coco on one side and the number 5 on the other, in homage to the fashion house's legendary scent, Chanel No.5.

As with most iconc Chanel pieces, there is already a waiting list for the limited-edition money. In particular, all 99 of the five ounce gold coins, worth 5,900 Euros (are you seeing a No. 5 themed pattern emerging here?), have already sold out.

The coins go on sale on 1st December.
