Yesterday on Manhattan's Madison Avenue, iconic department store Barneys unveiled its vision for Christmas 2008 - a pledge for peace.
The store recruited some of New York's biggest designers to collaborate on the window displays, a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the peace sign.
Alexander Wang, Diane Von Furstenberg, Proenza Schouler and Narciso Rodriguez all created one-off outfits, inspired by or incorporating the peace sign, for the project, which also saw Barneys donate 5% of yesterday's sales to Earth Pledge.
The designs are starring in Barneys' windows until the New Year.
