And we were there when the doors were unlocked.
We've just returned from what might be the start of one of the busiest, and most important shopping days London has seen for quite some time.
We were worried about how big the reception would be for Westfield, in our credit crunched times, but we have to say, if there is one place that can make you feel good about shopping again - it's Westfield.
Even on a freezing October morning at 8.30am there was a buzz amongst the assembled fashion pack, press and growing crowd of shoppers queuing around the block to get inside.
Once in it's possible to spend the whole day there. Not only does the centre boost every store from DeBeers diamonds and Dior to Gap and H&M, but you can do your weekly shop in Waitrose, your banking, have your eyes tested at the opticians and even chose to eat from one of the 50 cuisines on offer at Westfield's restaurants.
Sadly we couldn't stay, but if you're heading there tonight or this weekend, we guarantee you're in for a treat. Happy Shopping.
