Peter Som and Bill Blass finally part company

There were rumours in July that he was to leave the label as Creative Director, which he denied at the time. However, the designer has now confirmed that his contract has ended with Bill Blass and NexCen, and will, by mutual agreement, not be renewed.

“This was an extremely difficult decision for me,” Som has said. “At this time, however, I have chosen to focus on my own namesake collection and the development of the Peter Som brand.”

The hunt is now on for a new Creative Director at Bill Blass.
