Naomi Campbells Fashion For Relief, a charity fashion show and auction, will return to London Fashion Week this year on September 17th as part of the official LFW schedule.
The show will raise money for The White Ribbon Alliance a charity set up to raise awareness for maternal mortality and is supported by the charitys patron Sarah Brown, British jewellers Garrard, Jaeger and, of course, Elle, the official media partner for the charity.
At next weeks show, top international names from the worlds of fashion, music and film will come together on the catwalk to showcase designs from the likes of Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood to name just a few. And the good news is that tickets are on sale to the public from today through Ticketmaster, 0844 844 0444 (24 hours), so the once in a lifetime opportunity to experience London Fashion Week, while also supporting an important cause could be yours.
Speaking today Naomi said "I am honoured to be working with Sarah Brown and the White Ribbon Alliance on this years Fashion For Relief. So many woman, children, families, communities around the world are affected by maternal mortality. Fashion is universal, personal and touches everyone in some way. We are using this years London Fashion Week catwalk to reach people, showcase the important work of the White Ribbon Alliance and raise money for this cause.
And our very own Lorraine Candy added, we are in a unique position in the fashion industry to be able to reach hundreds of high powered and influential women, many of whom are mums themselves, who can help raise money and raise the profile of the charity. As a mother of three I feel very strongly about supporting other women during pregnancy and labour around the world - and working towards making sure these women will one day have the same choices myself and my daughters will have at this time in their life."< More
