Marilyn Monroe launches fashion collection

A Marilyn Monroe inspired fashion line is in the pipeline, just 46 years after the icon's death. The brain child of Shaw Archives, an agency who own over 400 images of Marilyn and a UK-based clothing company, Blues Clothing, they want to launch a retro look line of clothes in Europe from the start of 2009.

We’ve long been fans of the more casual Marilyn style, so if the range includes high waisted shorts, bateau sweatshirts, wide leg pants, crisp shirts, and oversized wool coats, this could be a sell-out when it launches next year in France, with a view to hitting the UK later. With a film about Tinkerbell, the Disney character inspired by Monroe, due to hit the screens at the end of the year, this could be the start of a newly revived Monroe-madness.
