Everyone from Liv Tyler and Eva Mendes to Rachel Zoe and Helen Mirren were in town and flocked to the party after a day packed full of headlining shows. Earlier in the day Liv Tyler had been at Dior while Helen Mirren and fellow actress Kerry Washington were front row for Armani Prive.
Yesterday it was also the turn of Alessandra Facchinetti to show her first couture collection for Valentino. And while nervous at first, she revealed to WWD that 'for the first time in this business, I felt serene and calm, a bit like when you're holding a newborn.'
She focused on shape and craft, mixing eras and influences to create a serene and pared down couture experience, in order, she says, to appeal to a younger couture customer.
Another label showing restraint was Thierry Mugler, who showed it's debut capsule collection from designer Rosemary Rodriguez yesterday. Inspired by 25 original Mugler designs, Rodriguez showed feminine, simple pieces made in jersey, pleated gowns and true to heritage - power dressing suits in the Mugler salon.
Today it's the turn of Chanel to wow. Come back this afternoon for our up to the minute coverage of the collection and to see who's front row.
