The headline grabbing designer, who last season had Agyness Deyn open his show in London, has won the prestigious French ADNAM fashion prize, a huge 150, 000 euro cheque and the support of several established labels including Yves saint Laurent, the LVMH group and Longchamp, plus the opportunity to now show his collections in Paris.
"Showing at London Fashion Week has been amazing. To now be able to enjoy the international platform of Paris will propel my business even further," said Pugh yesterday. "My thanks go out to ANDAM and everyone who has supported me to date."
Pugh's shows are one of the highlights of the London fashion week schedule and he will be sorely missed by fashion editors and students alike .His first Paris show, scheduled for 3rd October is now likely to be one of the hottest tickets at Paris Fashion week.
