Fashion’s back on film

French director Laetitia Colombani’s film due out in October focuses on three actresses who dash from fashion shoot to premieres head-to-toe in style’s hardest hitters. In ‘Mes Stars et Moi’ (‘The Stars and Me’), Emmanuelle Béart, Catherine Deneuve and Mélanie Bernier are clad Yves Saint Laurent, Hermès, Prada, Fendi and Lanvin, while your favourite style magazine even features when Beart wears Dior for an Elle cover shoot.

Meanwhile Isla Fisher has been shooting ‘Confessions of A Shopaholic’ in Bendel’s in New York. The shooting of the film, adapted from the book by British author Sophie Kinsella about a young journalist with a shopping addiction, took over the department store for three days last week. Frustratingly we’ll have to wait until February next year to rate the outfits.

Finally, Silvia Venturini Fendi, grand-daughter of the Italian Fendi fashion dynasty, has bought the rights to the novel La Ragazza del Secolo Scorso (The Girl From the Last Century), about an Italian family in the textile industry. Silvia will produce and Tilda Swinton is set to star when filming stars in June.
