British Fashion Council sponsors new award
The British Fashion Council have this morning announced that they are set to sponsor a brand new award for Creative Cutting which will champion the technical side of design by rewarding the student who shows the best flair for pattern cutting. The judging panel will consist of the BFCs Ann Tyrell, an as yet unconfirmed designer and Harold Tillman, the British Fashion Council Chairman and owner of Jaeger.
This years Graduate Fashion Week, sponsored by high street favourite River Island, will run from 8th-12th June and the new award will be presented at the gala show that marks the end of the week. More than 1000 students will showcase their collections throughout the week, in the hope of being selected by the likes of Claudia Schiffer and Elle's very own Editor-in-Chief Lorraine Candy as the winner of the River Island Gold Award with a prize of £20,000.
