Graduate Fashion week, which will take place in June, showcases new British design talent from 49 universities and over 1000 design students across the country. It culminates in an award gala on June 11th when the winner of the £20,000 River Island Gold Award will be announced.
Of her new role as a judge this year Claudia said yesterday, I have been privileged to witness the incredible expertise of some of the most inspiring design talents in the world. The passion and energy that surrounds this creative world are addictive and to take part in supporting the birth of new talent is fantastic. I have always believed that the UK has a unique energy, its such a melting pot of new ideas, with an influence that is so far reaching, I am never surprised to hear so many English accents in design studios all over the world.
Claudia joins a prestigious group of fashion industry insiders on the panel, including Elle's Editor in Chief, Lorraine Candy.
Last year the special guest judge on the panel was Victoria Beckham. Elle spoke to Victoria exclusively on the night, click here now to read the interview.
