Yesterdays shows wowed, including Karl Largerfeld; think lots of androgynous tailoring and exquisitely cut suits - all in Karl's favourite colour, black; Emanuel Ungaro where new designer Estaban Cortezar was more than a little influenced by spring's romantic feel - cue pastel and grey chiffon, drapery and rose prints; and Dries Van Noten where more than a few of next season's trend boxes were ticked - slouchy trousers, furry coats and a little bit of plaid.
But its not all about the shows as Paris heats up for a final weekend of partying. The celebs have been quietly gearing up for the end of the international collections - with Claudia Schiffer inviting Sophie Ellis Bextor, Kelly Brooke and Billy Zane and Jade Parfitt to celebrate the opening of David Collins' new restaurant the Landau on Tuesday night. While Jefferson Hack and Gareth Pugh DJ-ed at a BoomBox party across town. "It's cool to see so many London people," said Pugh at Le Perle, "It's a home from home."
The Brits have also been celebrating Stuart Vevers first collection for Loewe. (He left London and Mulberry last season.) Giles Deacon was in the City of Light to support his pal, but sadly their other close friend Agyness couldn't make it - she's had to come home, still suffering with a bad eye infection. Get well soon Aggy!
