But yesterday's shows more than made up for any lack of weekend rest as Moschino Cheap and Chic's riot of flirty, colour clashing frocks and eye popping fuschia and red matt lips (pictured) set the tone for the week ahead - Milan feels like it's going to be fun!
Alexa Chung was front and centre at the show in a pretty Moschino cocktail dress and woolly cardi combo that infused this glamourous city with a little bit of London's street style edge.
Emporio Armani, Jil Sander and Missoni were some of the other big names to show yesterday. Missoni with a suprising collection that veered away from their traditional multi-coloured sweaters, with the introduction of slouchy trousers, poncho's and grown -up prints for next season.
