A writer for the script has been selected but becasue of the Writers Guild of America stike currently holding up all of Hollywood, Scott has not announced who it will be.
What Facio did confirm, at a dinner hosted by Salma Hayek to celebrate the opening of the new Sergio Rossi on L.A's Melrose Place, was that the team will plunder Gucci's archieves for history, family secrets and original Gucci pieces from the 1960s to the 1990s that will feature in the film.
It will chart the rise of Gucci from an Italian family business to Tom Ford's super charged, sexed up Gucci of the nineties.
With Scott as director there is also great anticipation as to who will be cast in some of the key roles. Clive Owen to play Tom Ford gets our vote!
