Apparently, Harvey Weinstein, who bought the Halston label last year is also set make a movie of the fashion icon.
Designer to the stars (including Bianca Jagger, who wore Halston to Studio 54) and fashion industry revolutionary (Halston was the first label to license their brand name) Roy Halston Frank's life was just as glamorous and dramatic as the stars he dressed. In 1984 he was sacked from his own company and died in 1990, unable to resurrect the Halston name.
But Harvey Weinstein looks set to change all that - not only relaunching the label at New York Fashion week next month (Halston is going to be one of the most hotly anticipated shows (and front rows) of the International Collections) but now maybe with this movie too.
Weinstein recruited Jimmy Choo's Tamara Mellon and Rachel Zoe to consult on the relaunch of Halston, and has employed Versace's Marco Zanini as chief designer, so it's only fitting that Oscar nominated, Law is his first choice for the movie. We just wonder who he'll cast opposite Jude? His favourite actress Sienna Miller perhaps?
