Stella scoops the big one at the British Fashion Awards

Anyone who is anyone in British fashion was there, from Agyness Deyn - who scooped Model of the Year (and called her mum in Manchester during her acceptance speech!) to Dame Vivienne Westwood, who went home with the award for Outstanding Achievement in Fashion. The A-list were also out in force to support the designers they love. Agyness, Kelly Osbourne and Lily Allen all wore Giles who was nominated for Red Carpet Designer of the Year (Lily was Giles Deacon's date for the night), while Dita Von Teese just happened to be wearing a gold sequined Marchesa dress to present the award for Red Carpet Designer of the Year to the Marchesa girls, Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman. Anya Hindmarch, who was nominated for three awards, went home with Brand of the Year while the night's top award, Designer of the Year, went to a nine months pregnant Stella McCartney. She told us she was 'proud as a British designer to be winning a BFC award at home'. Thandie Newton was on hand to present her with the award, resplendent in Giles (again!) and Sergio Rossi heels.
