First it was Luella's comic book inspired catwalk show, complete with Batman suits, catwoman masks and bunny ears (left), and now it's the CFDA who have fallen for our favourite comic characters. Yesterday Giorgio Armani announced that The Costume Institute of America's spring exhibit at New York's Metropolitain Museum of Art, will celebrate fantasy and comic book characters with a show entitled 'Superheros: Fashion and Fantasy'. The exhibit will include creations from an eclectic mix of designers including Balenciaga, McQueen, Givenchy, Moschino, Gareth Pugh and Nike, to name just a few. And of course it's all in time for the CFDA Met Ball, the fashion world's annual black tie extravaganza, which this year, thanks to Mr Armani, will be co-chaired by two of Hollywood's modern day superhero's Julia Roberts, and Batman himself (well he did play him once!) George Clooney. We can't wait to see the outfits!
