Gone are the figure-hugging body-con dresses of last season, which are now so much the measure of London fashion, in favour of a muted, murky palette of snake skin printed floaty chiffon and frills. The jury is still out on exactly what the fashion crowd think, though early reports suggest the new look worked. Averyl Oates, Buying Director of Harvey Nichols told us, " Christopher Kane doesn't disappoint. A fresh new silhouette, romantic, yet contemporary. He gets stronger and stronger every season." So, despite having 23 pieces of his collection stolen from his East End studio last week, Kane still managed to cause headlines this fashion week. In celebration it was off to London's hottest new night spot, Bungalow 8 at The Saint Martins Lane Hotel where, judging by Chris's recent infatuation with wildlife, the zebra stripe black and white interior must have been be right up Christopher's street.
