Ortiz, who was Design Director at Prada between 1994- 1997 and a designer at Maison Lanvin for four years before launching womenswear for Italian label Brioni (which we loved!) will begin designing in time to present Ferragamo's autumn winter 2008 collection in February 2008. She said of her new role, "I am excited to work for this prominent Italian brand. Salvatore Ferragamo enjoys a prestigious past and has extraordinary potential in the luxury industry.
