Julia Restoin Roitfeild teams up with Peter Som for NY Fashion Week

This fashion week she has been commissioned by American designer Peter Som to create the invitation to his S/S 08 catwalk show. Julia, a design graduate who went to New York's, Parson's School of Design with Som, works at New York's creative hot house Laird + Partner's as a graphic designer and was commissioned by her ex classmate to create an invitation that reflected the 'crisp, clean, lines' of Som's upcoming collection. She also used the work of Spanish abstract artist Pablo Palazuelo as her inspiration, after Som saw the painter's work in the Bilboa Guggenhiem and loved it. 1000 of the invites have been printed, and for those lucky enough to get there hands on one we say, hold on to that little pice of modern art. It might just be worth something one day...
