Affordable luxury has fully infiltrated fashion week here in London: back in February Whistles held an intimate salon-style showcase. Now, British luxe-rocker brand AllSaints are packing up their butter-soft leathers and heavily embellished wares, and are bound for New York Fashion Week.
Showcasing its spring 2014 collection, the Spitalfields-born brand will hold a presentation on Sunday 8th and Monday 9th of September, fittingly in New York's über-cool Lower West Side. The presentation promises to disrupt the format of the traditional fashion show with a multi-faceted mash-up of music and digital aspects, highlighting the brands increasing engagement with digi-fashion since appointing ex-Burbrrry senior vice president of retail and digital commerce, William Kim. They've even launched their own film division, recently teaming up with the Kings Of Leon to create a documentary on Nashville.
While it will be an invitation only event, fans of the brand from around the world can plug in to the lifestream. Meanwhile, press and buyers will have the opportunity to arrange one-on-one appointments with AllSaints chief creative director Wil Beedle.
AllSaints have tapped into a sartorial zeitgeist according to ShopStyle marketing manager Sian OFlaherty. The US are having a love affair with all things British at the moment, OFlaherty exclusively commented to ELLE. Last year Belstaff were at New York Fashion Week and earlier this year Victoria Beckham debuted her collection. I think New Yorkers will appreciate the East London aesthetic of AllSaints More
